Dr Adrian Selim is a clinical and laboratory haematologist practicing in Sydney Australia, He is Australian-trained, with subspecialist fellowships in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. The practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders, offering comprehensive services including blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, and treatment for conditions such as anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, leukemia, and lymphoma. Dr Selim completed medical school at Bond University and traned in haematology at Sydney's Eastern Network. He subsequently undertook subspecialist fellowships in stem cell transplantation, and in cellular therapy, at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, UK, and at the PeterMacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, respectively. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and treatments in the field of haematology.

Outpatient Consultation

Dr Selim consults in Kogarah, Revesby, Miranda and Campbelltown. Urgent consults can generally be facilitated.

Cancer Treatment and infusions

Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and infusions including iron infusion, blood transfusion and intravenous immunoglobulins can be administered at all four locations, supervised by Dr Selim

Bone Marrow Biopsy

Dr Selim performs bone marrow biopsies at Revesby, Miranda and Campbelltown. In addition to local anaesthetic, Dr Selim uses methoxyflurane ("the green whistle") which has both anaglesic and sedative properties and makes the procedure significantly better tolerated.

Inpatient Admission

If required for expedited work-up or post-treatment care, Dr Selim has admitting rights to St George Private Hospital.

If you are an inpatient at St George Private Hospital or Hurstville Private Hospital and your admitting specialist requires haematology input, they can consult Dr Selim who will be able to provide on-site consultation and arrange follow-up as required.
